Physical therapy

Physical Therapy is a powerful resource to help get runners back on track quickly. RunMental offers in person visits in Colorado Springs and virtual visits for those throughout the states of Colorado, Missouri and Virginia.

Over the course of your care we will:

  • Have an in-depth discussions of your injury history, training, and current problem limiting your training

  • Take you through a series of physical performance tests to understand how you move and where your point of entry may be for rehab and/or training

  • Perform a 3-D gait analysis with the Runeasi technology. See more on the gait analysis here.

  • Educate you on what we believe to be going on

  • Advise on the best course of action for you to resume training

  • Many start running as early as day 1 while others may take longer depending on the situation

  • Most plans of care occur over the 3-6m time frame consisting of 4-6 visits.

  • Between sessions you have full access to Adam via email, text, and call to discuss progress and setbacks as needed. No more waiting until your next session to figure out what to do.

With the help of RunMental, many runners are able to get back to running at some level on day 1, others take as much as 12 weeks depending on the situation. Regardless of your timeframe you can be assured that everything will be done to get you back as quickly and safely as possible while providing you the tools to remain healthy long term.

Having extensive experience as a runner (>15yrs now) and coach along with taking continuing education on managing runners and reading hundreds of research articles related to running has positioned me well to help you as a runner. As one former patient described me once, "Not your average PT." captures exactly what I strive to be for everyone I work with.

Virtual physical therapy visits very closely mirror those that are in-person. You can expect the exact same high value care, walking away with an actionable plan, just as you would with an in-person session.

Virtual patients must havea treadmill accesible to abtain video for a 2-D gait analysis. We are unfortunately not able to offer the 3-D option with the Runeasi technology virtually.
